Meet Dustin
Originally from Texas, I moved to San Francisco in 2019—sight unseen—and have since built my career across finance and tech, with experience at Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs, and other technology companies. Along the way, I developed a strong interest in real estate investing, with my own portfolio, which led me to pursue my licensse for residential sales in San Francisco.
Having lived in Russian Hill, Mission Dolores, Corona Heights, Castro, and Rincon Hill, I bring a hyper-local perspective and use my experience around the city to navigate the complex San Francisco market for my clients. I’m passionate about helping people find not just a home, but a smart investment in one of the most dynamic cities in the world.
Beyond real estate, I take full advantage of everything the Bay Area has to offer—from the walkability of San Francisco to exploring Northern California, Tahoe, and Mammoth. I also share market insights and city trends across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
First-time buyer. Upsizing. Relocating. Investor. Wherever you are in the journey, I'll meet you there with expertise, transparency, and a long-term mindset. Let's connect!
I didn't get into real estate to sell homes. I got into it because I was already obsessed with real estate — and I wanted to help other people feel as confident about it as I do.
— Dustin Chaveleh, Licensed Real Estate Agent, San Francisco
From the Texas plains
to San Francisco fog
Dustin grew up in Texas, the kind of place where you understand space — where things are big, spread out, and affordable. San Francisco was a different world entirely. He moved here after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, drawn by the energy of the city and the pull of a career in finance and tech.
He figured out SF the way most transplants do: block by block, neighborhood by neighborhood, weekend by weekend. He fell for the Mission's murals and the fog rolling over Twin Peaks. He learned that the city that looks small on a map feels enormous when you're actually living it.
That ground-level understanding of what makes each San Francisco neighborhood different — how they feel, who lives there, what you're trading off when you choose one over another — became one of the most valuable things he'd eventually bring to his clients.
He put his own
money in first
Before Dustin ever represented a client, he represented himself. He bought his first investment property out of state — not in a market he could walk around in, but one he'd analyzed on paper, underwritten with discipline, and committed to from across the country.
Then he did it again. A second property. Different market, same rigorous approach. He navigated inspections, negotiations, property management, and the particular anxiety of watching an asset perform (or not) from 2,000 miles away.
Those experiences taught him things no licensing course could. What it feels like when you're the one with skin in the game. How to stay rational when emotion wants to take over. When to push, when to walk, and how to know the difference. That's the experience he brings to every client conversation.
Where finance and
real estate first met
Working in finance and tech gave Dustin a toolkit that most real estate agents simply don't have. He learned how to read a market, stress-test assumptions, and separate signal from noise. He got comfortable with numbers in a way that made him skeptical of anyone who wasn't.
It was in those spreadsheets — modeling returns, analyzing deal structures, tracking market data — that real estate started revealing itself to him not just as a place to live, but as one of the most powerful wealth-building tools available to regular people. The problem, he noticed, was that most people never got access to that framing. They were buyers, not investors. He wanted to change that.
That realization planted a seed.
What if the most valuable thing an agent could offer wasn't connections to listings — but a genuine ability to analyze them?
The license was the
last step, not the first
By the time Dustin earned his real estate license, he'd already spent years doing the work: investing, analyzing, researching San Francisco neighborhoods, and documenting the city through his social media — a genuine, ongoing love letter to the place he now calls home.
Getting licensed wasn't the beginning of the journey. It was the moment he decided to open it up to other people.
Today, Dustin works with first-time buyers, tech professionals navigating SF's competitive market, and anyone relocating to the city who wants someone who actually lives and breathes this place — not just someone who lists properties here. He's most useful to clients who want to be educated, not just shown houses. Those who want to understand the market, not just react to it.
If that sounds like you, Dustin would love to talk.
The approach
that sets him apart
📈
Data-first, always
Every recommendation Dustin makes is grounded in market data — comparable sales, price-per-square-foot trends, days on market, neighborhood inventory. He gives you the numbers and explains what they actually mean for your decision.
📚
Education over pressure
Dustin doesn't sell you a home. He helps you buy one — on your timeline, with your priorities, after you actually understand your options. He believes the best clients are the most informed ones.
🤝
Straight talk, always
If a property is overpriced, he'll tell you. If the timing isn't right, he'll say so. His job is to be your strategic partner — not to close a deal as fast as possible. Your long-term confidence in the purchase matters more than his short-term commission.
The guy behind
the license
When Dustin isn't helping clients navigate offers or poring over market data, he's out in the city he loves — eating his way through the Mission, hiking Marin headlands, and shooting neighborhood content for TikTok and Instagram. He genuinely believes San Francisco is one of the greatest cities in the world to live in. He'll convince you of that, too.
"I post about SF neighborhoods on TikTok and Instagram because I genuinely think this city is underrated — and I want people to fall in love with it the way I did when I first moved here."
You've read the story.
Now let's write yours.
Buying a home in San Francisco is one of the biggest decisions you'll make. Let's make sure you go into it with the right person in your corner.
